With 36 years of law-enforcement experience, including 10 years as Chief of Police of a New Jersey accredited police agency, James J. Craparotta brings extensive investigative experience, professional judgment, and a commitment to integrity to every private investigation.

Throughout his law-enforcement career, James gained extensive experience conducting investigations, interviewing witnesses and involved parties, managing cases, evaluating evidence, preparing detailed reports, and working with other law-enforcement agencies and community organizations. He handled complex and sensitive matters where attention to detail, sound judgment, confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism were essential.

As a former Chief of Police, James understands the importance of conducting thorough investigations while treating every individual with dignity and respect. His experience includes investigative work involving criminal matters, evidence collection and evaluation, interviews, case management, court proceedings, and collaboration with prosecutors, attorneys, and other investigative professionals.
